Electronic Communications & Consent

Electronic records

Online financial services may present disclosures, agreements, notices, and signatures electronically. The actual consent presented by the lender, provider, or third-party form at the time you submit or accept an offer controls.

Review consent before submitting

Read any checkbox, button text, disclosure, or consent language shown with a loan-request form. It may authorize electronic delivery of records or communications from specifically identified providers.

Marketing calls and texts

Consent to marketing communications should be evaluated separately from your decision to seek information about credit. If a form asks for consent to calls or texts, review who may contact you, the purpose of the contact, the number provided, and how consent can be revoked.

Hardware and access

To retain electronic records, you generally need a device with internet access and the ability to save or print documents. Download or save material disclosures before accepting an offer.

Third-party control

This page is informational and is not itself your electronic-signature or telemarketing consent. The consent text displayed by the provider or form operator at the point of action is the operative language.
